Mr Kevin Spencer

B.H.B., M.B.Ch.B., M.D.Sc., FRACDS (OMS)

Mr. Kevin Spencer is an internationally recognised Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and the first surgeon trained in Australia and New Zealand to complete a medical degree before undertaking dental and specialist surgical training in the field.  Graduating in Medicine from the University of Auckland with First Class Honours, Dr Spencer went on to earn his dental degree at the University of Melbourne, where he graduated first in his class and received multiple academic awards. He completed his Master of Dental Science and specialist fellowship (FRACDS OMS), achieving the medal for the Top Candidate in the national fellowship examinations.

With extensive training across leading hospitals in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States; including a fellowship at the University of Minnesota.  Mr. Spencer has held senior clinical and academic appointments, including Clinical Assistant Professor at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is currently in specialist private practice in Melbourne (OMFS) and he serves as an examiner for the RACDS for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery candidates.

Mr Spencer has published widely in peer-reviewed journals on topics ranging from reconstructive jaw surgery to oral cancer management.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and an active member of multiple professional associations.
