Mr Tim Probert trained in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and completed his Master of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in 1995. He achieved his FRACDS (OMS) in 1995 and took up a 12 month post in New Orleans as a Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Louisana State University. Following this he was a visiting fellow at the Institute of Cosmetic Facial Surgery in Salt Lake City.
Upon returning to Melbourne, he commenced private practice and took up consultant positions at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital as well as lecturing Medical and Dental students at the University of Melbourne.
He completed an MBA at Swinburne in 2009 and today, continues private practice, remains an honorary VMO at the Royal Children’s Hospital and is an Honorary Senior Fellow, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Tim’s interests include paediatric OMS including cleft lip and palate deformity, dentoalveolar surgery, corrective jaw surgery, bone grafting and implantology for the replacement of missing teeth.
Tim is currently on two Australian Dental Association committees and has been a member of a number of conference organisation committees for professional bodies including the Australian & New Zealand Association of OMS, the International Association of OMS, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Australian Osseointegration Society.
